Fashion meets Function

The snaps on the pants are not only stylish, but also functional. Sadly, the shoes are NOT quite as functional-Harrison remains a mostly supine baby.

The shoes really complete the outfit, thanks Brooke and Jamie!!!

Wacky khaki

I've been rockin Dickies since high school, about a decade now, wow. They get me to that point just before classy. You look good, but you can still fight off a bum in a dumpster if you had to. Ya dig. Thanks for the hat mom, and a guy at school said it takes a real man to wear pink, I think it was a compliment.

A little sunshine on a blustery day

Not only is this a sick herringbone suit, but Mom and I made it this way. This was just a normal D.I. suit, flat fronted pants. With Mom's sewing prowess and a little of my elbow grease (which is almost impossible to get out of wool by the way) we took these pants in like 1 1/2-2 inches in the legs. I wish I had a before picture so you knew how good these turned out. Thanks Mom! Now I have two sweet suits that are a little more European with the slim pants.
This is also a new shirt, the sleeves are a great fit, as you can see. What you can't see is that this is a fitted, wrinkle free shirt, and it only cost me $9.99 at Ross. Killer.

Tied

I know what you're thinking, "but Matt, haven't we already seen this outfit?". Yes, and no. I decided to switch it up a little, with this! That's right, I wore a tie to school today. I really like this look, stay tuned for the tie with skinny jeans. Also, I am thinking about rockin' a vest.

I Got a "you must be an art student" type of look today, so this oufit must be good.

I've never really worn this jacket closed before, I like it. I tried a fashion face for Lance. I don't know what look I like better, this one, or the one that looks like I wet my pants.

More than just an accessory...

Although you've grown accustomed to seeing Matt grace the posts on this blog, the youngest and freshest Harrison is now making his debut in his Sunday best. He also likes to dress things down a bit by hiking up one pant leg - which allows him to show some skin as well as regulate his body temperature on these warm California days. He's still trying to master his facial expression, if only Tracy could give him some pointers?!

Sunday, February 15, 2009

For my first post ever I wanted to do a little fashion instruction for all y'alls benefit.  I'm using two willing participants in the fam.  First the do not: do not wet yourself and then let your brother take a picture of you, big fashion no-no. Second: I want everyone to study this photo, because this is the epitome of the fashion face which we all need to learn if we want to go anywhere in the fashion world, tracy can answer any specific questions you have.

Now that the instruction is done, this is just my Sunday best and a shout-out to Matt for the jacket.  I'm still working on the whole fashion face, but it'll improve, along with the rest of yours I hope, in the near future.

sweetheart's

yeah, mom made this dress.

psychology experiment

the plan was to dress like other girls at my school and comment on the feedback, but i didn't have any regular clothes just awesomeness filling my drawers and this is how it turned out.

late and great.

not much to say about how great this outfit is. oh i had these shoes long before renee, just a little note.
also, notice the big pockets on the pants. very cool.

I cannot dress nice

I can't help myself, whenever I wear something even halfway nice, I have to class it down. I really like the way I look though so maybe that has something to do with it. Or maybe I'm just a gansta . . .

out with the old, in with the new?

these are my old vans, they are demolished! i wore them everyday for a year and a half, and will probably continue wearing them, but i decided to get some new ones as well.

yes?

KICK OR KEEP

Here are the moto boots! Yay or nay?? Also--what to wear them with? Pencil jeans don't look quite right, but I don't think I'll be buying leathers. mom
just a little layering for a tuesday snow.  and no, these aren't vans, but a target look-alike for three eighths of the price.

Classy or Trashy, this boy can do it all!!

This suit is one that I got from D.I., sometimes you just get lucky. The sweet trench coat down below Mom found for me, and it got rave reviews in church last week. The picture below is me trying out new poses, thanks Brooke.

p.s. For any of you Seinfeld fans out there, this is the "executive" model of trench coat.

The Most Fashionable Harrison of All

Triumphantly sporting the plaid shorts pulled up to "carry grant" height, my friend Trent sports his own style while chasing tail at the Oregon coast.

church is fun again!

church

doin' the do

Omi has strong opinions about hair styles. Here is a one she came up with herself; she picked out all the barrettes and elastics and then made me stand behind her in the mirror as she told me where to place them. Oh, the outfit is all her too. I stopped dressing her when she was about two.

I Got's to know

Ok gang, let's put it to a vote. I need to know. Can I rock this jacket? I tried to give you a couple of looks. I don't think I could wear it without the hoody. If you can't tell it's vinyl and has butterfly collars. I like it, but vote on the side.

Vest City

I used to rock these vests all the time, I just have to find a way to wear them that I like now. I think it goes pretty well with the brown sweater and the shoes, Globe Castros.

Striziped

Maybe you can't tell but this shirt had these cool stripes. I like the stripes on the inner shirt, and the solid sweater. Plus I've always liked to match the black with the blue. One note, Mom got this belt buckle for me a couple Christmas' ago, it used to belong to Brother Muecke, so that is pretty sweet.

McQ for you

I look good here, although vaguely Asian. Just kidding, but since I don't have any fashion photos yet I thought y'all might like a look at the Alexander McQueen collection for Target, due out March 1. Oh, and I researched the shoes, NOT available at Target, I think they are Chanel.

I really, really want the jumpsuit. I think Mom had two back in the day, wish she had kept them in the dress-up box for me to raid now.

double the pleasure

today's outfit, as you can see my vans have become a staple, we're working hard to correct this.heelsyesterday's outfit. i got several compliments on it, so i don't know if i'll be wearing it again. if the general populace likes it, what's the point?

The Straight Skinny

Sorry Nicky, I wanted you to be the first to post some skinny jeans, but it wasn't that cold today so I didn't have to wear long johns and this just sort of happened. I mean, I guess this kind of outfit doesn't just happen, but whatev. H&M jeans, Gen-X striped shirt. I really like these striped shirts. This hoody is sleeveless and I just wear it with a striped shirt sometimes.

I am not the only one!

This is whatever, I didn't have too much time to pick out some clothes, but I will be cutting my hair here soon, so stay tuned. By the way, this in one of only a couple of long-sleeved shirts that I can just wear, they are too loosey-goosey I need a fitted shirt. Oh well.

am i considered a hipster?

so i'm gonna come clean, the shirt is kendra's, but it's cool enough to be mine. oh--asher accessory not included.

Once Again I Can't Take the Credit

I think the only thing I bought new in this was my hat, and most of it was given to me. Jacket, vest-Mom, Buckle-Conni, Kicks-Kendy, I like the blue and the brown.

You probably can't see but this is a striped shirt, I love 'em right now. I like the trendy look a little better, but the hat and the high-tops bring it back to the streets if you know what I mean. I also have been wearing a long sleeved shirt under my collared shirts, I like it, let me know what you guys think.
